These highly decorative candles are hand-made in the small African Kingdom of Swaziland using the age-old "millefiore" technique . Their artists and craftsmen have worked since 1981 in a happy environment creating unique candles of exceptional quality which are renowned throughout the world.
The hard wax veneer forms the outer shell of the candle, which hardly melts when the candle is lit. Hence the rich, romantic glow of the illuminated exterior as the candle burns. Shapes and veneers vary from the more traditional to the entirely original and modern, inspired by the patterns, colors and animals of Africa.
